Hi everyone
It’s that time again… This Friday we will be having a test dun dun dun!!!

Don’t worry I think all students are ready for the test. I ask that each of you, as the student’s parent or guardian to help them study over the weekend by using the Teacher and Student resources listed on the side, and the wordle list posted below to help study their vocabulary.
Here is a great website that will give you many practice problems that you can use to work with your child.

If you have any questions please contact me by sending an email or calling.

Thanks and happy studying

Today I sent home the vocabulary list that goes along with this unit. Just in case your child has lost their copy I decided to post the words here on the blog by using a word cloud. I will send home another copy of the vocabulary if needed to.

I made this world cloud by using the site www.wordle.net This site is a great way to change boring and traditional word list into something fun and colorful. I encourage everyone to check it out but be noted that this site is not for kids.
Thanks for reading.

Hello Friends

I have been receiving emails from a few parents that have concerns about helping their children with adding and subtracting decimals. So I decided to post this video. This video will break down the steps were you and your child will be able to learn in a fun way. The song is 100% guaranteed to get stuck in your head.

Also parents don’t forget about the links on the side of the page. Those link are great games that your kids can play that will help them understand decimals.

Thanks again

Hello friends

This upcoming Wednesday we will be playing Bingo with adding and subtracting decimals. We have neat gifts to hand out to the winners! This game will let our students practice adding and subtracting decimals by playing games. I encourage you to work with your children at home on these skills before Wednesday to help them develop a better understanding and better their chances of winning on Wednesday. Here is a great web site to help you children practice addition and subtraction of decimals.

The link is also under students resources called Laser Decimals.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with the class a video I found on the site TeacherTube. We all know how I like using TeacherTube. If you have a chance you and a parent should check it out. They have videos that can help you with a lot more then math.

We will be using this video in our math class when we start talking about decimals. I want to show you that decimals can be found everywhere we look.
Welcome everyone! This week we will be learning about decimals. I will be posting links, videos, and vocabulary words on the blog that will help you gain a better understanding of decimals. On the side of the blog you will find a list of student resources. Each link will take you to an online game that will help build your mathematical skills. I encourage everyone to access these sites and practice what we’ve learned in class. If you have any questions, please send me a email or give me a call.

See you on Monday
